So most of you know I am a slow cooker lover. There is nothing better than being able to throw a bunch of ingredients into a pot and let them slow cook all day. It makes my house smell amazing plus the meal is ready at dinner time. If you work outside of the home, you can’t go wrong with this. I normally throw everything in the slow cooker the night before, put it in my fridge overnight, and turn it on in the morning to cook. For those meats that you want to soak up the flavor, this is perfect. Like marinating before grilling.
I have this amazing slow cooker made by Hamilton Beach. It is called Set & Forget 6 Quart Slow Cooker. This thing is seriously amazing. You can set the temp (high or low) and the time (minutes and hours) and it will cook until that time then automatically switch to warm. This is perfect for those who work 9 hour days and only need to cook for 8 hours or less. There is no over cooking and drying out or burning your food. You can also cook to a specific temperature. Just place the thermometer in the center of your food, set the cook to temperature and high or low setting then let it go. Once the food reaches the specified temperature, it automatically switches to warm and keeps the food warm until you are ready to eat. As you can see in the picture below, it also features those wonderful little locking handles for secure traveling. There is a seal around the lid to prevent leaking during transit. I have tested this and it worked perfectly. Seriously the best investment I’ve ever made and it is currently only $49.88 on Amazon.
In light of this amazing kitchen miracle, I have put together some of my favorite slow cooker recipes just for you guys. None of these recipes are my own (I’m not that good in the kitchen) but I have provided links to the recipes. All credit for these recipes goes to their owners, I just want to show you how I make amazing meals daily.
Buffalo Chicken Sliders (This recipe is AMAZING. This is a repeat in our house. Everyone loved them. I did not add the chicken back to the sauce after shredding as it was enough for me, I left the sauce on the side so everyone else could add extra if wanted. I also wanted to add in here that I made this with Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce. Super amazing flavor and not too spicy.)
Apple Cinnamon Pork Loin (I have made this and absolutely loved it. It has a great pork flavor with subtle apple and cinnamon flavors.)
Slow Cooker BBQ Meatloaf (Yes, meatloaf in a slow cooker! I know right! Seriously amazing what you can do with these things.)
Chicken Burrito Bowl (Seriously an amazing meal. Just have tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream on the side and you are all set. Beats having the normal ol tacos.)
Chicken Lo Mein Noodles (Best I’ve ever had!!!!)
7-Can Taco Soup (The absolute best taco soup I have ever had and it is super simple to make. Literally dump in ingredients and turn on your slow cooker. I’ve made this with and without meat, amazing both ways.)
I will leave you with those recipes for now. I will be back later to post some more. If you guys need any suggestions with them, I am here to help. If you have any recipes you want featured from another blog or even your own, let me know and I will get on it. We all love trying new things and figuring out ways to make meals that fit our family’s needs. We can all do this together. See you guys soon. Stay blessed.
